This will be my first ever bookbox. And while it is exciting, I am so nervous! I have been writing professionally for over two decades and have mailed out autographed copies of my books. I've sold merch online and even digital copies of my e-books. In this new season of my life, I am a reborn doll artist that has been selling fragile art dolls.
But, what I have never done is anything on this scope! I have never sold anything out of the country! I have never had to think ahead about the availability of inventory, and readily I can replenish. While the books have already been written, my goal is not to over-order.
My daughter lives in Japan, so I am fully aware of the high costs associated with international shipping. You can calculate your shipping costs using this link from USPS. At this time, I'm unsure of the dimensions of the boxes used as I have yet to pack an order. I am going to shoot for the smallest packaging that I use to ensure a safe delivery.
Packages will be mailed priority, which costs more but includes $100 of insurance.
As a reminder, this bookbox is absolutely non-refundable. I am not responsible for what the mail carrier does after I've shipped. If you have any issues, be sure to reach out to USPS and not me as I can not track or locate or give you any information about your delivery. I say this because customers who have purchased my art dolls have reached out to me when their delivery was not received by the time the post office suggested. They will readily set up a contact for you if you face any issues. Since selling my own merch, I have never experienced mailing issues beyond timeframes.
So, in actuality, I don't really feel that I will face any challenges. But, for my international purchasers, if I do face challenges mailing to your country, I will issue a full refund and cancel the order.
